Welcome to our newest clinician, Maria Ponzi. Maria is a Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field. She has worked with adolescents, adults, and couples. Maria centers her practice on being with the person. She believes in tailoring methods that will fit needs and goals to work with people to promote positive, healthy change. Using a strength-based approach, she helps people with generational trauma, family conflict & relationships, and addiction recovery. Using a supportive, trauma-informed methodology she assists people with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, and women’s issues.
She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walden University and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior at Capella University. Her experience ranges from Health promotion, chronic illness and HIV, substance use, hospital social work, forensic counseling, and working in foster care.
Maria currently offers services part-time via teletherapy.
