Mia believes that the person is the expert of their lives and uses a person-centered approach to meet you where you are, while expanding on the strengths you currently possess.
She uses evidence-based practices like CBT and solution-focused techniques, as well as, the Gottman Method for couples therapy. Mia has experience with individuals and couples who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship distress, body image and self esteem concerns.
Mia is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Kent State University and her Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of Dayton.
