(she, her, hers)

Megan has extensive experience working with people of the global majority and approaches therapy with a seasoned understanding of how oppressive systemic structures negatively impact mental health. Megan understands the importance of approaching therapeutic interventions from a culturally competent lens as it relates to race, class and/or gender and non-binary identity.

She enjoys working with adolescents and young adults experiencing a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, grief or trauma. Megan also enjoys supporting children and families navigating unwanted behaviors at home or in school.

Megan takes a person-centered approach to therapy and is trained in CBT, trauma-focused CBT and motivational interviewing. She has extensive knowledge around issues of domestic violence, human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children and has provided training to schools, coworkers and the community on these complex issues.

Megan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and has been practicing social work for over ten years. She obtained a Social Work degree from Boston College with a concentration in Global Social Work and has an undergraduate degree in International Studies and Human Rights from the University of Dayton.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, yoga, spending time with family and friends, and trying each and every one of the many new restaurants popping up around Columbus. She also enjoys practicing Spanish and traveling internationally to new destinations.

Based from our Campus and Clintonville locations, Megan offers teletherapy part time.
