Lisa Garland, MSW, LISW-S

(she, her, hers)

Lisa has been a social worker for 30 years working with families, teens, young adults, and individuals seeking to make changes, due to mental health concerns, chemical dependency issues, and life transitions. For fifteen years she lived and worked in New York City honing her clinical skills.

She loves to engage people and meet them where they are in their journey. Lisa  uses several modalities for treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, breathing and relaxation, symptom managements, supportive reflection, and short term crisis interventions to reduce anxiety, stress, and depression.

Lisa earned her Bachelors of Social Work in 1989 and her Masters of Social Work in 2000 from Grand Valley State University. Outside of work Lisa can be found riding her motorcycle, listening to live music, growing a garden, and spending time with her friends and loved ones.
