From Overwhelmed to Empowered: Here’s What We Told a Room Full of Women Leaders

Jean Tidd and Holly Mills had the honor of presenting at the We Rally, We Rise Women’s Conference, hosted by the Pickerington Chamber of Commerce at the Crossroads Event Center in Lancaster. The conference brought together women from across the community, nonprofit, and business sectors in Southeast and Central Ohio for a full day of learning, connection, and growth.

Their session, “From Overwhelmed to Empowered: Women Working with ADHD“, drew an engaged, energized room ready to have a real conversation.

What the session covered

The session explored how ADHD presents differently in women, why it is so frequently missed or misdiagnosed, and what it actually looks like to navigate work, leadership, and daily life with an ADHD brain.

Attendees left with practical strategies, tools for self-advocacy, and a reframe many described as genuinely life-changing: ADHD is not something to overcome. It is something to understand, work with, and celebrate.

Why this conversation matters

Women with ADHD are disproportionately underdiagnosed, often spending years being told they are too sensitive or not trying hard enough. Getting this conversation into leadership spaces, where women are building teams and shaping culture, matters. When leaders understand ADHD, more people get to thrive.

To everyone who attended: thank you. Your energy and openness made the day unforgettable.

If you are ready to explore what ADHD support could look like for you, we are here.
