Common Questions and What to Expect
We are very proud that over 80% of our clients find us through a family member, friend or another mental health provider.
If you're new or reconnecting after a break, here are some common questions. We're here to help.
We are proud to call the Midwest home. We love the area, we love the people and we love our communities.
Equity, diversity, and inclusion are core values at Holistic Consultation. We actively take an anti-racist stance and recognize that for all of our collective perspectives to make progress possible we:
- See the diversity of our community and wholly respect the dignity and worth of each person.
- Believe in creating safe, brave and transparent spaces for change.
- Recognize the current and historic systemic power struggles, tension, and inequities built into our local community and nationwide.
Tireless in our pursuit against racial and social injustice, Holistic Consultation also:
- Boldly commits to offering equitable mental health services without discrimination, stigmatization and marginalization.
- Offers welcoming services in approachable and easy-to-understand way.
- Supports conversations of change, power and privilege both actively and passively.
- Makes every effort to be the best practice for clients and staff in terms of talent and diversity, recognizing the need for quality, consistency, and transparency.
Our clients are smart, strong, resilient and also value relationships, authenticity and vulnerability. Because each person is different, we tailor our approaches to your specific needs.
In general, you can expect to discuss the current events happening in your life, your personal history relevant to your issue, and report progress (or any new insights gained) from the previous therapy session.
There is something very powerful about the connection and the work we do.

Clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
Clients have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency medical item or service.
Make sure the health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before a medical item or service. Clients can also ask their health care provider, and any other provider they choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before a scheduled medical item or service.
If clients receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the Good Faith Estimate, it can be disputed.
For questions or more information about the right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Quality and integrity are core values at Holistic Consultation.
Should you ever have concerns about the quality of your care, the integrity of our billing procedures, the protection of your privacy, or our commitment to uphold the dignity and protect against the discrimination of every individual we serve, you can contact us at 614-607-0980 or email [email protected]
